Walkinshaw gives the speech he uses when speaking to Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts to explain what the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors does. He explains that when you get up in the morning and walk into the bathroom, it is not President Trump, Governor Younkin, or Congress that ensures that water comes out of the faucet – it is the Fairfax Water Board appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
In his time on the Board of Supervisors, Walkinshaw has worked to make Fairfax residents’ lives simpler, faster, less expensive, and less aggravating, and he suggests that other local leaders do the same.
