Let's take a break from our work life and give ourselves an opportunity to learn something new while building a homelab for personal development and entertainment.
We will walk through how HashiCorp Tools, such as Packer and Terraform, can be leveraged to build images and infrastructure with code. Explore the integrations available with Consul, such as auto-cluster, service discovery, and load balancing with Traefik.
Finally, we will focus on utilizing Nomad to be the workhorse of our homelab, running both containerized workloads with the built-in Docker task driver and non-containerized workloads with the Java task driver. The final component is a CSI plugin to ensure our configuration and data is persistent.
