Last C-130H flight to Antarctica | Royal New Zealand Air Force

A fond farewell 🥹✈️ Last week marked the final flight of our C-130H Hercules fleet to Antarctica, ahead of their retirement.
 
This historic flight delivered vital scientific equipment to the frozen continent and brought passengers from‪@AntarcticaNewZealand‬and the United States back to New Zealand.
 
With 60 seasons of dedicated service, the C-130H fleet has played a crucial role in supporting research and operations at Scott Base and McMurdo Station, helping to advance the vital work being carried out in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth.
 
While this chapter closes, Operation Antarctica continues. Our new C-130J Hercules will take over, ensuring uninterrupted support for Antarctic operations and research.
