Python Lesson 1.1 - Installing Python

In this first episode of Intro To Coding for Adults, we learn how to download and install Python onto your computer (for Windows**).

First we download Python (3.8.2 - as of this writing) from the official python.org site.

Then we install Python making sure to check the box to 'Add Python to Path'. Though not critical for anything in this first lesson, it will simplify tasks in later on in the course.

Finally we learn how to launch the default Python editor (IDLE).

**Python is typically installed automatically on computers running MacOS or Linux.
